Dubai, United Arab Emirates; 19 June 2023: Following a series of healthcare project deliveries in the region, including the delivery of Priory Wellbeing Centre in Abu Dhabi, PMKConsult, announces its handover of a new state-of-the-art healthcare centre located in City Walk, Dubai. Aspris Wellbeing Centre was originally formed from the Priory Group – the leading independent provider of mental healthcare and adult social care based out of the United Kingdom. Aspris is now delivering the same high-quality care to those within the Middle East through their services located in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Riyadh. The group operates specialized clinics and rest homes for psychiatric treatments and runs many schools for special needs pupils – especially within the spectrum of autism.

Keenan Grote, Chief Operating Officer, PMKConsult, commented: “Technical project management delivery is a niche specialism for PMKConsult. We have developed a team of experts to deliver complex healthcare projects and have delivered some impressive work in this sector. Jim Langan, one of our Senior Project Managers has cultivated an enviable portfolio in this space and has once again proven his capability with the successful completion of this clinic.”

He added: “We have worked with some well-known industry partners including Summertown Interiors and SWAP Architects. Our success is not just down to the expertise of our own team but extends to the positive spirit of the wider team and the proactive collaborations with leading players in the industry.”

Sr. Project Manager, PMKConsult, Jim Langan, added: “I believe that a key reason we were selected is due to our ability to deliver at a technical level due to our extensive experience in healthcare. Delivering medical facilities requires specific knowledge when it comes to delivering rooms with medical equipment or treatment facilities. Additionally the adjacencies need to be properly planned and executed to ensure the centre will have optimal operational performance accommodating patients requirements seamlessly. We are very proud of our work, and we are grateful for Aspris for trusting us to deliver their new wellbeing centre.

The PMKConsult team successfully handled the procurement process for design and contractor teams to meet the client’s programme requirements, ensuring efficient execution through a design and build contract. The project team also proactively addressed and managed the requirements of the Dubai Health Authority from the outset, allowing the project to move through each phase of the delivery and authority approval process swiftly. The centre consists of custom-made branded feature wall in the reception, which has shelving to provide privacy between two proximate areas. To accommodate the facility’s requirements, two commercial units within City Walk have been merged to form state-of-the-art consultation spaces capable of housing up to 20 professionals. The consultation spaces have been acoustically insulated to ensure an acoustic rating 50 dB, providing a conducive environment for optimal client care. It also consists of tailored specialist treatment rooms providing spaces for private occupational therapy, speech, and language therapy as well as a medical treatment room.

The aim of the wellbeing centre is to create a friendly, welcoming, modern space and environment for patients starting their journey to recovery. Additionally, the centre also has a playful children’s waiting area, and consultation rooms purposely designed to cater for the treatment of children.

PMKConsult has several world class healthcare institutions and wellness centres in its portfolio of project completions in the sector including the Priory Wellness Clinic in Abu Dhabi, a Specialty Hyperbaric Oxygen Clinic in Dubai, Specialised Rehabilitation Hospital in Abu Dhabi, and the Amina Hospital in Ajman in addition to many others.

Ends.
