Al Khobar, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; 4 August 2022:  Leading project and commercial management firm, PMKConsult successfully delivers a new corporate office fit-out in Al Khobar, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The project consisted of an office expansion within a live environment as the client required operations to be maintained. Set across two floors, the total area of the project was approximately 1,600 sqm and accommodates 120 people currently with capacity for future expansion.

The client required  an upgrade to their current space in addition to an expansion onto an additional floor. During the fit-out programme, due to the nature of the client business, it was necessary to maintain operations within their current space. It was PMKConsult’s role to prepare an extensive Project Execution Plan that catered to the live environment requirements, identify swing space throughout the programme to allow works to continue without interruption to operations, all the while aligning the contractor and consultants to work towards the established timelines and budgets.

The PMKConsult team managed the entirety of pre- and post-contract execution inclusive of all the client’s procurement needs. The team provided value engineering management post contract award, concise change management, and due to the inability of the appointed design consultant to travel to country, PMKConsult also provided post-contract design supervision.

The office space contained two large board rooms, technology-laden majilis, and an N+1 server room. To ensure that the works would not impact the office operations, PMKConsult coordinated all works outside the office’s official timings. All minor works, which did not create any disturbance, were carried out during office hours, with close management and oversight.

PMKConsult has delivered numerous high-end fit outs throughout the GCC and North Africa region within sectors ranging from multinational workplaces, retail and F&B outlets, four and five star hotels, to luxury private residences.
